This refraction tutorial program is extremely helpful, very user friendly, and has greatly assisted me in nailing down the concepts behind an accurate refraction. It feels great to see the attending make little or no changes as he "streaks over" my refractions now.
Also, it sure beats reading a book on refraction ;)
Dr. Wilkinson's optics course at the University of Iowa helps residents survive the Ophthalmic Knowledge Assessment Program (OKAP) exam and boards. Now, in book form, his material will help residents and students ace optics. His book is concise and complete with over 150 questions to guide the student through optics. The book utilizes diagrams to teach and provides a high-yield review of optics that's needed for success on the boards. Don't take the boards without this book! About the Author Dr. Wilkinson is co-author of Protect Your Sight and author of Essential Optics Review for the Boards. Dr. Wilkinson is an associate professor in the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at the University of Iowa, which is one of the best ophthalmology teaching programs in the United States.
