Guidelines for submitting educational material
Please include:
The author’s full name, degree, specialty, departmental and institutional affiliation, and contact information such as email address, phone number and work or home address, so appropriate credit to the author will be displayed.

1. Case of the week:
- Submit your case with the presentation of the chief complaint and a brief review of pertaining positives and negatives in the history of present illness, past medical history, review of systems and if relevant family and social history.
- If the case has an associated photo, preferably in a digital (JPEG or JPEG convertible format), or any X-rays, MRIs, CTs or ECGs, please attach that along with the description of the case.
- Include any significant critical laboratory results.
- Include the diagnosis, management and disposition of the patient.
- State the teaching point or any pertaining references such as journal articles or textbooks.
- Please refrain from including any references to any identifiable institutional names or references to the patient’s identity.
- Your case will be reviewed, edited for content, and presented on the website when approved.
2. Videos:
- Submit any emergency medicine procedural videos in MP4, Windows Media Video format, or MPEG format and it will be reviewed and edited for content and presented on the website when approved.
3. Pictures:
- Submit any interesting emergency medicine related pictures, radiological images or ECGs in a digital format with a diagnosis
4. Board Review material:
- Submit any Emergency medicine board review material in the form of multiple choice questions with the answers or reading material in the form of audio, reading or Power Point presentations.
5. Suggestions and Recommendations:
- Submit any suggestions or recommendations for improvement of the website, such as videos of procedures you wish were on the site, links to other websites or content of educational material. The Editors will strongly consider your suggestions and try to accommodate your needs. This website is new and a work in progress and will improve significantly in content and material everyday.
