Many older people prefer cycling
to get their exercise because it places less
strain on the joints, leg muscles, and tendons
than jogging, yet it has positive aerobic
value and muscle toning effects.
Some people who prefer to bicycle might
choose to buy an adapter accessory to convert
an ordinary bicycle into a stationary
bicycle when the weather is bad.
Others prefer the large adult size tricycles
(sometimes called tri-wheelers). No balance
is required with these tricycles, and they are,
therefore, safer than a bicycle.
