discounts, senior citizens'

Many businesses offer discounts to senior citizens, which older individuals can take advantage of to help stretch their budgets. Banks often make no monthly charge for checking accounts of people over 65. Buses, theaters, department stores, drug stores, restaurants, museums, airlines, and others offer senior citizen discounts also. This can represent a substantial savings, if one takes advantage of it. Sources that provide information on such discounts include AARP publications and newsletters like the United Retirement Bulletin edited by Bostonian Edith Tucker.
