Golf is one of the few sports that is not too physically demanding for the older individual. It involves many muscles through walking, bending, pulling, and swinging, as well as the additional benefits of fresh air and sun. This competitive exercise can heighten one's zest for life. There are tournaments for seniors, including the National Senior Open, Senior Amateur, and Senior Women's Amateur.
