Hatha Yoga

Hatha Yoga is a system that is several thousand years old, which involves postures known as asemas. Asemas are balanced exercises for deep relaxation, toning, and revitalizing the mind and body. The meditative practices are sound for both relaxation and assisting elderly to take stock of their lives and face the prospect of death in a way that promotes growth. Such techniques are used by senior citizens in preventive mental health groups and in nursing and convalescent homes. They are intended to restore vitality to the elderly.
