meditation

Meditation is recognized by health professionals and the general public as a good method for attaining physical and mental calm. Participants in meditation focus their attention on one particular object, image, or phrase, along with breathing exercises.
One method of meditation that deepens physical and mental relaxation is visualization. In one type of visualization, for example, participants are asked to visualize spheres of light of specific color in specific centers of their body. Many elderly people participate in meditation and find its benefits very rewarding.
