salt intake

Sodium intake is a major variable influencing the aging of the cardiovascular system. High salt intake seems to cause higher blood pressure, therefore increasing the chances of coronary diseases. People who consume very little sodium have lower blood pressure and thus reduced cases of coronary disease.
