Dr. Randall Porter was born in Chicago, IL. He attended Southern Methodist University for undergraduate education after which he attended Rush Medical College in Chicago where he received his Doctorate in Medicine and was president of the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. He received his residency training in neurosurgery at the world-renowned Barrow Neurological Institute and completed fellowships in spine surgery and skull base surgery. He trained under two world famous neurosurgeons, Dr. Robert Spetzler and Dr. Volker Sonntag. He trained in Stockholm, Sweden for Gamma Knife expertise and brought the first Cyberknife to Arizona. He has been selected as teacher of the year at Barrow and has been selected as a "top doc" by his peers in Phoenix Magazine numerous times. He loves his family, his patients, and the field of medicine. He prays with his patients before surgery and feels medicine is both a ministry and a science. He is founder and chairman of The Medical Memory, a company dedicated to video recording doctor patient visits. These visits are securely uploaded to the cloud on a HIPAA complaint server so patients, friends, and family can re-watch the doctor's visit and don't have to take notes when seeing Doctor Porter.
