Dr. Luviano trained in Los Angeles, CA, where he has worked for three years treating a large diabetic retinopathy population. He brings with him surgical retinal laser skills that may prevent blindness through such procedures as panretinal photocoagulation, focal macular laser, and intravitreal injections of anti-vascular endothelial growth factors. He will also carry out advanced testing and screening for age-related macular degeneration, cataracts, glaucoma, and diabetic retinopathy. He is past co-director of the Diabetes Center of Excellence at SETMA. Today, he is an ophthalmologist at SETMA. I am so pleased with the care of Dr. Luviano, he has compassion and he cares. I was legally blind in right eye and can now see 90% better and after he has finished I will be able to see 100%. My nurse Laquitta is excellent. All the office staff has beem wonderful.
