Dr. Andrew Cash, MD
For the last five years, Dr. Andrew Cash has served as the Medical Director and Board Certified Spine Surgeon at Desert Institute of Spine Care (DISC). Because of his outstanding expertise and innovative solutions for chronic back pain, Dr. Cash is recognized for his customized treatment plans that manage and correct pain effectively without surgery. Almost 99% of his patients get well without surgical intervention. In tandem with his role at DISC, he serves as a Clinical Faculty Supervisor at Touro University Nevada College of Osteopathic Medicine, a role he has worked in since 2007.
Dr. Cash has experience as a Spine and Orthopedic Surgeon at hospitals and clinics across the country including Vaterspine, Arizona Spine Clinic, Los Angeles Spine Surgery Institute, Spring Valley Hospital Medical Center, and Centennial Spine and Pain Center. He also served under Dr. Robert Watkins Sr., a world-renowned spine surgeon that is known for his treatment of celebrities and athletes, whether they’re professional, collegiate, or Olympians.
Dr. Cash graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. He continued on there, graduating with honors with his Medical degree. Dr. Cash completed a variety of foreign externships head and neck surgery as well as spinal surgery, and finished residency and surgical training at Atlanta Medical Center.
Dr. Cash is an active member of the American College of Spine Surgeons, the International Society for the Advancement of Spine Surgery, Clark County Medical Society, the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery, North American Spine Society, and many more. With publications and extensive research under his belt in spine care and surgery, Dr. Cash stays well-versed on new trends, technology advancements, and groundbreaking treatment options by attending local, national, and international conferences.
