History

I created a series of questions and answers from my notes during residency and in my reading of various ophthalmology books. During my first year of residency, I began writing questions on various topics. I typed the questions on my laptop from lectures and from my own personal study time. It was actually an excuse for me to use my new laptop at the time. When I purchased my first iPod, I thought how useful it would be to have questions and answers streaming from my MP3 player while jogging and commuting to and from work. I began recording questions and answers that I personally formulated when I was preparing for my written board examination. I wasn’t sure how helpful it was going to be until I actually took the test and found the repetition and review to be helpful in most areas.

Purpose of Ophthalmology Buzzwords

This collection of audio clips is designed as a supplement for studying ophthalmology and cannot replace our time spent reading the Basic and Clinical Science Course (BCSC) books. I hope these series of questions and answers will trigger your memory to recall various differentials and treatments. This collection of questions and answers are not meant to be exhaustive, but designed to reinforce what you already know. Topics range from cornea to retina. The audio clips can be played on your iPod (or other MP3 player), computer or in your car using a MP3 player. The idea is to help maximize your study time while in traffic, jogging, or simply studying at your desk. I hope this collection will be helpful to you as one of many adjuncts we use to learn about our great field of ophthalmology.
