Toxoplasmosis infection of the retina.



Active toxoplasmosis presents with a vitritis and retinitis. Tachyzoites are present in this case. Recall the analogy "headlight in the fog". The headlight is the retinal inflammation and lesions. The fog is the extreme vitritis. On pathology, vitritis is not seen due to processing of the tissue.
