Michael Haas, MD

Dr. Haas is a board certified ophthalmologist who has been in private practice since 2005 and has recently moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado where he now practices at St. Luke’s Eye Care & Laser Center. He is a comprehensive ophthalmologist with a special interest in cataract surgery and enjoys the challenge of seeing the full spectrum of ocular medical diseases.

Dr. Haas was born and raised in Seattle, Washington, and after graduating from Western Washington University he completed medical school at the University of Washington. He completed his internship at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center in San Antonio, and an ophthalmology residency in Indiana.

In his free time, Dr. Haas is an avid reader and enjoys a multitude of outdoor activities including hiking, skiing and biking. He enjoys travel as well, especially getting away to the mountains with his wife and dogs in the summer months (he has a Golden Retriever and a Goldendoodle). He is looking forward to providing high quality eye care in his new community, and is excited to be part of the Pearls in Ophthalmology Editorial Board.
