Paul Sanchez, MD

Dr. Paul Sanchez completed his undergraduate degree in biochemistry Summa Cum Laude at the University of New Mexico. He then received his medical degree from Dartmouth Medical School, as well as his Masters degree from Dartmouth College. Following an internship at John Peter Smith Hospital in Ft. Worth, Texas, he completed his ophthalmology residency at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. Dr. Sanchez also participated in the Minority Medical Education Program at Yale Medical School. After Hurricane Katrina, he assisted in the relief effort, providing emergency medical care to evacuees. Dr. Sanchez is published in several medical journals, including the New England Journal of Medicine, the Journal of the American Medical Association and the Journal of Neurochemistry. Dr. Paul Sanchez practices general, clinical and surgical ophthalmology at Southwest Eyecare. He lives in Albuquerque with his wife and three daughters.
