Dr. Arvind Saini, MD

Arvind Saini, MD MBA was inspired to be an ophthalmologist by his grandmother, who had cataract surgery and a corneal transplant when he was a child, and by an ophthalmologist in his hometown of Madison Wisconsin, who traveled internationally to perform charitable surgery. He knew from a young age that he wanted to restore people's vision and help the blind. He attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he triple majored, achieved high honors in the College of Letters and Science, and was a finalist for the Universities Rhodes scholarship selection. He continued on to the University of Pennsylvania, one of the countries top three medical schools. He was president of his class and also obtained his masters of business from the Wharton School of Business, one of the worlds top business schools. After completing his internship at the University of Pennsylvania he completed his ophthalmology residency at Loma Linda University, where he was a chief resident and completed the Navy's refractive surgery training course. He then pursued fellowship in cornea, external disease, and refractive surgery at Wills Eye Hospital, the countries first eye hospital.

Since completion of his formal training he learned ultra-thin corneal transplantation (DMEK) at the Netherlands Institute of Innovative Ocular Surgery and has gone on international surgical missions. He also has been selected to the Leadership Development Program of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Eye Study Club, and The Board of the Wisconsin Academy of Ophthalmology. He is an assistant professor at Loma Linda University and volunteer faculty at USC.

Dr. Saini specializes in comprehensive ophthalmology, including cataract and refractive surgery. He also performs full-thickness and partial-thickness (DSAEK, DMEK) corneal transplantation. He prides himself on treating patients honestly, and in the same way that he would like his family members treated.
