Dr. Michael Vargas, MD

Dr. Vargas earned his internal medicine degree from University of Buenos Aires School of Medicine, Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1976.  His cardiology fellowship was completed in 1978 at Loma Linda University.

Dr. Vargas has been practicing Interventional Cardiology in Southern California since

1978 and his practice spans three large counties in Southern California.  His leadership and expertise in the field of endovascular medicine has been a hallmark of his career.  He also specializes in the care of chronic medical conditions such as, Coronary Artery Disease, Diabetes, High Cholesterol, Hypertension, and Peripheral Vascular Disease.  As an interventional cardiologist, Dr. Vargas is a pioneer, as a cardiologist, performing procedures beyond the coronary arteries since 1984.  Performing complex limb salvages with minimal down time and remarkable outcomes for many patients.

Dr. Vargas lended his expertise by serving as the Medical Director for Southwest Healthcare - at Inland Valley Hospital in Wildomar and Rancho Springs Hospital in Murrieta.  He also served as Cardiology director for Western Medical Center Anaheim and was the Director of the Peripheral Interventional Program at Anaheim Regional Medical Center.
