Eye donation offers a positive and generous opportunity to restore or improve the sight of another.
The Iowa Lions Eye bank is a non-profit organization that serves over 3 millions individuals as well as 120 hospitals in Iowa serving as the vital connection between donors and cornea recipients giving them the gift of sight through transplant.
The Iowa Lions Eye Bank is a fully accredited member of the Eye Bank Association of America and is registered with the Food and Drug Administration and they carefully screen all donors, meticulously performing the recovery, evaluation and distribution of ocular tissue ensuring its safety and efficacy for donor recipients.

I would like to receive realistic time frames for tissue arrival. When we call on days when tissue is late, staff says it will be there soon and it can take over 1 hour. This happened twice in the last couple of months.
